As a Banned for Livetime person I would not expect that "priviledge" to

Who? Me? - NONE! It exploded! (the inside light-thingy is gone...)
My old one (the one that exploded) was 26" with 1920x1200 resolution,
and I started this thread to figure out, if Live for Speed would support
the 2560x1600 res. at a 30" display.
But at the moment I have one BROKEN 26" and I write this on my wifes

I had an Acer AL2416 w/s build back in 2005.
I was watching something on INSANETY at YouTube
with my headphones on when suddenly I heard
BOFF - BOFF - BOFF through my Headset,
so in the first moment I did not understand what sound that was
and where it came from.
As the Screen was off and my wife got up from the noise in another
room I quickly switched of the main-switch on the energy-bar.
I was shocked! It smelled a little bit, some kind of sweet smell,
not like burned plastic...
Well, when I turn it on now it shows faintly the ACER-sign and then
there is nothing to see.
I will find out if Acer can repair the Monitor at an reasonable price...
But also I would like to get me a new Monitor, so I spend the day
today researching.
As I decided to NOT spend too much money, I dropped the Idea of
30" Zoll allready and thought of a
Novita 2602WHD, which is 26" as well and has good references at
a reasonable price. (That one only has a 1920x1200 Resolution),
so its not what I started the thread off with.
But the question of resolution had to be asked anyways...

But half a year later, (My ban was in July) the email does not exist
any more. Then there is no "official" way. That´s how I experienced

Hi CTRA Administration!
After having spend a lot of time considering my CTRA conduction
I am willing to find some words
for Your consideration (in a language
which is not my mother tonque...)
To put it down here: I want to race
on the CTRA again and I´m willing to
show my regret of former missconducts.
My arguments are the following:
First I have to say, that I was one of
the first of my kind (Z30) to discover
CTRA racing and also to step the system of rules behind it.
Unfortunately it took me quiet a while
to understand how strictly these rules
are expressed. I was not aware of the
consequences on these servers for a
while.
Later I told my teammates that it was
cool to race on CTRA servers, but it took them quiet a while to take on...
For my behalf, as I have stated on other occations, its odd to have a
system of peaching on other players
was totaly new for me, as it is not common where I live, so I had to get
used to it. (For example: Here, if someone cheats on a school exam, to
peach on him is worse than the cheat
itself. We dont do this here. If you go
further south this gets stronger. Lets
think of Italy and the "omertá" of the
mafia.)
Of course, now I am willing to accept,
that servers from GB follow a more
Black&white principle, like common in
a puritanic society, where prostitution
for example isnt allowed.
The axis of the evil does also exist in
katholic trended countries, but here
we referre to it as something that litteraly cuts through every single person. Evil is part of everybody, just
a lucifer is a fallen angel after all.
Back to terms of LFS: After such a long term in the hell of other servers
then the CTRA I feel a bit burned from
the acid, which also seems to have found its way into me and has burned

*How To* Dealing with bans first of all: THIS (the official lfs-forum) is not the right place to complain about ctra-x bans of any kind!
any topics of this kind will suddenly be closed by a ctra-moderator!
but because it seems some people don´t know how to deal with a ban, just follow this easy rule:
PM do0f !!!
its needless to pm any other ctra-staff-member, as SamH or Becky.
and its even more needless to pm persons like me, who are not even a member of the official ctra-staff.

First: I´m very impressed by the number and quality
of most replies!
Just to name it: I drove FZR on SO4 and experienced
the clutches burnout in about lap 25.
If I think of my setup I get the feeling that I break
with the engine a tiny little bit too much (not like mad!), because I tend to drive on soft brakes to
save tyres an because I tend to overbreak, as my
tutours found out...
Somebody also wrote, that there is practically no chance of "escaping" the pitstop without overheating
the clutch.
What I also want to stress on is, that I cannot cool
it down in SO4/FZr for example, even if I drive much
much slower.
Spinning, (especially tough when not Your own fault) might also easyly ruin the (longrun-) race.
Statements that just say, "if Your clutch overheat,
that because You are a bad driver" and "this clutch
behaviour is particulary realistic" I find a little bit
shallow, especially in a game, where only 3 to 4
cars a "realistic" models, the rest fantasy...
Besides the FBW (which I learnd to handle quiet well), what is the "reality" of a FZR car?
ONE other point: I NEVER see any racedrivers car stop unmanouverable, when I watch
races (on TV). I know these people mostly drive well, but would the problem not just
occure more frequently, if it was a typical racing problem.
Oil temperature, water and engine overheating, YES.
Brakes explode from heat!
But clutches, I never hear of a clutch explode or giving up...

I just had a 45lap lague race with the GTR class
in South City Long (City Liga)
Well, I was aware of a possible clutch problem

Especially the improved tyre wear!
Also the new physics and changes on various cars
are a good job!
I just do not understand, why we don´t cancel
the old PERSONAL BEST LAP times in favor of
the new game features!
With the hotlapping system I am not as familiar,
but I think this might draw similiar conclusions.
What do You guys out there think about this idea?

the same game twice in englisch language: The one was the European, the other the
U.S.-Version.
So I asked the guy, why there are two versions if they are both in English...?
The salesman anwered me: In the European Version there is no violance allowed,
in the american no s.e.x.-scenes !
